Opening sequence - SWOT
Strengths - We gave good ideas of the typical conventions of the genre, and ways that we can change a few of them. We was told our research was apparent and the overall idea for the film was good.
Weaknesses - We was told that the film idea was too American, and that we had to somehow make it more English. We was also told that chase scenes are hard to create well.
Opportunities - We was told we could take inspiration from real life super heroes and that we could make it more self aware than it already was.
Threats - Making it not self aware, and seeming really silly and stupid.

Treatment feedback
We have just pitched our idea for our two minute opening of a buddy cop comedy film. We were told that the idea was good and had potential, but needed a few things to be changed so we can get as many marks as possible.

Gangster Movie peer assessment
This is my idea for a gangster movie.
A man's daughter is kidnapped. The man goes to the mafia to ask for help getting her back. She is returned to the father but he then owes a favour to the mafia. He is left alone for a while, but then is asked to rob a bank along with 3 other members of the mafia.
I had two different ideas for opening scenes for my gangster movie.
1. The father is putting his daughter to bed, and then goes to sleep himself. A kidnapper breaks in and takes the daughter.
2. Set in the mafia office, the man explains his situation with flashbacks of the incident mixed in-between.
I decided to go with idea two, as everyone in the group decided that was the better opening to do.
